Today is the last day of New York fashion week and this year it has had to endure record-breaking low temperatures. The toss-up between comfort and style might be one of fashion’s great conundrums but, as a rule, the more famous you are, the less likely you are to wear tights. For sufferers, snow is immaterial because bare legs are a status symbol (the implication being you probably have a driver, a change of shoes or no job to run back to after a show. For survivalists, who cover up in fur (real or faux), flandanas, hat, scarves and tights, warmth and speed are key to surviving the shows. Both were in New York, but which camp won?
