How to turn midi skirts from retro to right now? It’s all about contrast. First, add flats – they’ll make everything a bit less mannered. Go-faster graphics and trainers are a great contrast with Pam’s cream midi, while the different textures worn by Rebecca are a nice touch. Michele’s grey, pointy brogues flatter her brown legs – plus pattern is always good. Lily’s clash of a denim jacket and sweet pleated midi is unexpected, but totally works.
