The best CC creams | Eva Wiseman

So, CC creams have survived. Who would have thought? A “beauty innovation” that seemed to be born solely on the strength of the alphabet, the daughter of the BB cream, a couple of letters Sellotaped together and squeezed into a tube. They’ve survived because they’re actually pretty good. The worst are just tinted moisturisers, the best work over time to improve the skin. In the short term “colour correcting” creams are lighter than a BB cream (“beauty balm”) and best as a primer, worn under foundation, or a big swoosh of blusher. I like L’Oréal’s Nude Magique (£9.99, boots.com) and Chanel’s gorgeously thick Complete Correction cream (£41, chanel.com).
