If it’s wrong to love a beauty product for its tits-out, brazen, undisguised sluttiness, then I don’t want to be right. Bring on this season’s hair perfumes then, truly the choice of the dirtier girl. For all their glamorous bottles and luxury branding, the new hair shampoos are the answer to the question: “How can I get my hair to stop smelling of last night without going home before work?” It’s a bonus, really, that they actually smell good. Especially Byredo’s Gypsy Water (£37, selfridges.com) which promises to nourish the hair while, at the same time, covering up the stench of fags. Mmm.
