One thing I have learned when packing for international holidays: don’t bother with shower gel. Or shampoo. Save your precious, budget-air-carrier load! These things can be found in hotel bathrooms, or in supermarkets, invariably under the word “douche”. If I am stuffed for space, I reserve it for good skincare, which is much harder to locate elsewhere and can now be found in hand baggage-friendly sets. And since these are so small, they’re also a good excuse to try something new. I’m very much treating Lancer’s The Method: Travel Set (£105, net-a-porter.com) as my intro to the three-step skincare system (polish, cleanse, nourish) that has become a cult favourite with everyone from Kim KW to Victoria Beckham. For this kit, they’ve chucked in an eye cream, too.
