Stripes are hardly news in fashion, but I love the way the classic graphic pattern can bring a bit of joy to any outfit. This season they’re particularly zingy, and can be either sporty or smart. Choose between the go-faster stripe on Gloria’s top for the former or pinstripes on tapered trousers, as worn by Pam. Vertical stripes are becoming more of a thing, as seen on Sylviane’s navy-and-white skirt or Beth’s boxy jacket. And I can’t resist a tennis dress: that’s the kind of fashion that comes with a smile.
