    I was looking for a simple, practical jewelry box with a lot of compartments to hide in the closet because my jewelry is all over the place. For the price, I was actually very impressed with this product. It’s easy to lock, easy to open, and I like the mini-box that can be separated out and kept in a separate location as needed. The drawers open well, and the box is compact and portable. This is a good purchase for storage. If you are looking for something to put on display, you may prefer something more wooden. Also, if you have a lot of dangly earrings, this may not be your best bet. It has a lot of compartments for stud-type earrings, but only about 8 or 10 hooks for necklaces and dangly earrings. I had to double up for my dangly earrings.

    I bought this product in 2009. I am not super impressed with it since it fell apart on me after about 2 weeks. But…it looks like mine was a fluke. Everyone else seems to be very happy with theirs. Anyway, I never pursued a refund or anything like that. I just ate the cost and wrote a negative comment. Someone at Shining Image found my comment and took immediate action. They contacted me and offered me a full refund, which I received today! I am very happy to get that back, and while I may not take another chance on the box, I would be willing to buy from Shining Image again someday. If they are selling anything else, I know that I can give it a try risk-free!

    This is exactly what I was looking for. I don’t think it’s gorgeous, but it’s nice and holds a lot (not bulky things) in a very organized way. (I was surprised at how many things I forgot that I had.) 🙂 The traveling box stays on my dressing table for my every day favorites and everything else is stored out of the way, but easy to get at in the big case. Taking the traveling box out makes room for a few bulkier bracelets. After ordering, I checked out the Shining Image website for a more detailed description. Sadly, they had a better price. Grrrrrrr!
